After throwing the first no-hitter in Rockies history at Atlanta on April 17, Jimenez (4-0, 0.95 ERA) allowed five hits in 7 1/3 innings of a 2-0 win at Washington on Thursday.
The 26-year-old right-hander is the first pitcher in 17 years to follow a no-hitter with a scoreless outing.
Jimenez has not given up a run in his last 16 1/3 innings, and three total in 28 1/3 innings this season.
Jimenez has been solid against the Diamondbacks, going 2-2 with a 2.75 ERA in eight career starts.
He’ll try to help the Rockies (10-10) bounce back from a 5-3 loss to the Diamondbacks on Monday.
